Dee Hennessy BA MA Dee is
a creative facilitator and coach. She works with public sector
agencies, companies, organisations and partnerships to develop
people, ideas and innovative solutions.
Specialising in providing new contexts for thinking, learning
and making things happen, her particular skills are in creative
facilitation and group development, gained through working in
theatre and cultural industries development.
Before co-founding Creative Exchange with Matthew Haggis in
2000, Dee spent almost 8 years with Common Purpose - latterly as
UK Curriculum Director - delivering learning programmes to
senior decision makers across the private, public and not for
profit sectors.
Previously a freelance producer for film and broadcast
theatre and a local government officer in Planning and Cultural
Development departments, her last local authority job was in
Liverpool as Assistant Director, Arts and Cultural Industries
leading a team of cultural development staff, writing and
implementing the Arts and Cultural Industries Strategy for the
City of Liverpool and establishing and managing the UK’s first
Film Commission.
She was a Non Executive Director of Tameside C&PS NHS Trust,
is a magistrate on the City of Manchester bench and has a
development role with Red Ladder Theatre Company.
Dee now lives in the Peak District with her husband and
youngest child.
